"A Centre of Excellence" — Thika West Sub-County, along the Thika–Mangu Road.
A Centre of Excellence born from a dream for Thika West
Thika Girls' Karibaribi Senior School is a public boarding senior school located in Thika West Sub-County along the Thika–Mangu Road, about 5km off the Thika Superhighway (Exit 16A from Nairobi), neighbouring Mpesa Foundation Academy and Wabeni Technical School.
The school was born from an idea to establish a second County Girls' Boarding school in Thika West, conceived by the late Hon. George Thuo, then Juja MP, as a Centre of Excellence under the Government's Economic Stimulus Programme in 2010.
The 14-acre parcel of land on which the school stands was donated by David Harris to the then Thika Municipal Council, which later allocated it for the school's construction. Originally proposed as "St. George's Girls'," the name was changed to Thika Girls' Karibaribi by the DEB.
The school was officially opened on 20th February 2015 by His Excellency the Deputy President, marking the start of a journey defined by academic excellence, discipline, and the pursuit of every learner's dream.
